POLITICS: President Jonathan Attacks Obasanjo Again

When in 2007 President Olusegun Obasanjo picked Goodluck Jonathan from nowhere and made him a vice presidential candidate to the late President Amaru Yar'Adua, he was seen as an important stakeholders.
Also, when in 2011 Obasanjo helped Jonathan to stand against the PDP arrangement of North & South power sharing formula of 8 years each, he was then described as a father of the President and the nation.
But all that has changed since Obasanjo wrote an 18-page letter to Jonathan, exposing dirty dealings. Now he is seen as an enemy as President Jonathan on Christmas Day hit hard on Obasanjo again.

The President revisited the issue during a Christmas Day service held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp in Gwarinpa, Abuja. He said some politicians who thought Nigeria belonged to them had started thinking about the next election.

He said that such politicians (Obasanjo) had started doing what they ought not to do, such as writing letters.

Jonathan added, “Politicians that think we own this country and are already thinking about next election; we are doing what we ought not to do; making statement we ought not to make and writing letters we are supposed not to write.

“This country belongs to our statesmen, traditional rulers, religious leaders, our men, our women, our youths. Nigeria does not belong to any politician or group of politicians. So, we will continue to urge the clergymen to pray for this country.”
A source close to Obasanjo told OluFamous.Com that the ex-president is not surprised by Jonathan's attack, which he said started few months after he assisted him to become president. The source say Obasanjo wishes Jonathan goood luck.
