SPORT: Chelsea super subs inspire win over Saints

Chelsea produced an impressive second-half display to claim a comfortable 3-0 victory over Southampton at St Mary's.
After a first period with little to choose between the two teams, Blues boss Jose Mourinho rolled the dice with the introduction of Oscar and Willian on 53 minutes, with Juan Mata and Andre Schurrle making way.
It didn't take long for the changes to make their mark, firstly with Oscar going down in the box under a challenge from Kelvin Davis - although the referee brandished a yellow card for diving rather than pointing to the penalty spot.

That didn't put off the playmaker however, and he was at the heart of his side's opening goal with a cross that deflected off the post and into the path of Fernando Torres, who headed into the empty net on 60 minutes.
The lead was doubled 11 minutes later, and came after Rickie Lambert missed a chance to equalise with a close range header which went straight at Petr Cech.
It was Willian who this time found the net, but again Oscar was the creator as his pass found his compatriot 20-yards out. His low strike gave Davis little chance between the sticks.
And, the gloss was added on the scoreline on 82 minutes, when Eden Hazard's chip over the top found Oscar one-on-one, and his strike deflected in off the leg of the defender's desperate challenge back.
Victory means Chelsea sit third in the Premier League table behind Arsenal and Manchester City, who also won on New Year's Day.
